- Statewide, 87.6% of the graduates for the FY’97 through FY’07 cycles were placed in full-time employment or are attending institutions of higher education.
- Those employed, started at an average wage of over $9.00 an hour.
- The retention rate for those entering the program is 73%.
- 325 units of housing have been renovated or built.
- 30 Community Centers have been renovated.
- 22 wheelchair ramps have been constructed for handicapped individuals.
- Over 1,000 elementary school children were served by YouthBuild participants in after-school activities.

- YouthBuild in Massachusetts has grown by 93% over the last five years, increasing from six to eleven sites.
- Massachusetts is among the national leaders in performance outcomes and number of YouthBuild programs and participants.
- Participants in Boston, Cambridge, New Bedford and Springfield are also AmeriCorps members who earn an educational award ranging from $2,363 to $4,725 that can be utilized for academic or technical education.
- Existing YouthBuild sites have utilized state funding to leverage more than $8,500,000 yearly for program operations.
